Kia Ora,

My name is Bex and I've been working as a freelance photographer since 2008. Over the years, I’ve worked as a military photographer in the Royal New Zealand Air Force (highlight: jumping out the back of a Hercules!), as well as photographing sports and outdoor adventure, portraits, weddings, kids and families, a little bit of real estate, and some fun personal projects. This website is a collection of my favourite portfolio photos from my career.

I love the variety that comes with being a photographer - from photographing a world title boxing match to pulling funny faces to get a two-year-old smile - you can chuck me into almost any situation and I’ll be loving the challenge!

My great passion is celebrating women and their strength and intelligence. So I have a whole section dedicated to Women + Sports. I love showing women in the most flattering light possible, as you will see in my Portraits section. There’s a portfolio from my time working in the Canadian Wilderness (including moose and chipmunks). Plus a personal project close to my heart: New Zealand as a Village of 100 People, where I photographed 100 New Zealanders to show what New Zealand’s population looks like (according to the statistics of age, gender and ethnicity). I’ve also put together my favourite photos from all the Weddings that I’ve photographed over the years.
